A 42.195 km run in heavy and soft sand along the West Coast in Hvide Sande makes this one of the most challenging marathons in the world.
You cannot predict weather and terrain conditions during North Sea Beach Marathon. A great challenge for your strength and stamina.
It is a unique experience running along the North Sea with spindrift, dunes and un-predictable wind conditions.
You experience the elements of nature up close and the effect they have on your performance.

All courses are run on flat sand with no inclines.
Beware that the sand can be soft during the entire run.
There are signs every full kilometre, counting upwards from the starting and finishing point in Hvide Sande
NEW IN 2014
Start and finish point for all courses in Hvide Sande
At the turning points, all participants will get a control ribbon to wear. This ribbon can later be exchanged for a medal at the finishing line.
